Before you hastily hit the play button on this exceptionally delightful masterpiece and dive headfirst into something you are, to be honest, most likely not ready for, be sure to take your socks off – better still, take all your clothes off so we can call it even. Yep, this record is so good it’s liable to knock any item of clothing you are wearing straight off your body, starting with your socks. Hailing from Ravenna in Italy, Amycanbe is a band with a sound like no other musical act out there in the world. Their records are meticulously crafted, with a crispy yet ever so organic sound that’s so sweet if you fall asleep and wet yourself while listening to it you won’t even be mad. And yes, it’s that good. Featured on the independent quartet’s second album, “Mountain Whales”, it was just one of 11 critically acclaimed masterpieces that critics still struggle to find words to describe and probably will for years to come.

So good you won't know what to do with it, or rather what not to do.

Sadly, it won't work for Coronavirus.

Featured on Italian independent rock band, Amycanbe’s critically acclaimed 2007 album, “Being A Grown-Up Sure Is Complicated”, “Heal”, like many of the sensational indie band’s tracks, is a track that will sweep you off your feet and take you to a vulnerable place the minute you hit the play button. It will leave you weak at the knees and then steal your heart like the lady of your dreams – but unlike the lady of your dreams, it won’t break your heart and leave you feeling worthless and cheap. If you’ve never felt so good you felt like you could jump off a bridge without a care in the world or consequences, then stay away from this record - or at least keep a helmet nearby and some Paracetamol. In fact if they had digital music players and Ear Pods back in the day, around 27 AD, this song would have been the prime suspect for Jesus getting up on a mountain and finding it hard to resist jumping – not some really good magic mushrooms, or err.. "the devil". This is one of those songs that’s so good no hype would suffice. It’s not a needy hit record whose only aim is to razzle and dazzle you, and take your breath away, but it does exactly that. The lowkey attitude of the record is what makes it so good and is what makes the band one of the most highly revered indie bands of all time. So there will be no hype, there will be no telling you that this is probably going to be the best song you’ve ever heard your entire life, or that you’ll never hear anything this good even when you are on your death bed and the angels are playing their very best melodies and flashing all their goodies to seduce you to come back home to wherever you came from. No, we won’t be telling you that the minute you hit the play button even your Michael Jackson records will mean very little to you, even after the Universal Music warehouse fires that could mean it is now worth over a million bucks to someone somewhere for being one of the copies from the original masters, not issues from some random backups some sneaky producer somewhere had lying around in his or her studio. And on a side note since we are on the subject, who's bright idea was it to store backup copies and originals in the same place? Isn’t that a redundant act to say the very least? At least now they know. So there you go – the best song you’ll ever hear in this lifetime, and no hype at all. Enjoy! And may every single one of your dreams come true tonight.

The gateway to inner peace

One of those records you hear and instantaneously leave everthing else behind.

"Grano" was originally released back in 2015 when the critically acclaimed 11 track masterpiece that is "Wolf" took Italy's alternative rock scene by storm before spreading across Europe like wild fire and subsequently becoming a Vinyl hit. To cut a long story short, if you haven't heard this record it's probably because you are spending too much time at mainstream music outlets trying to find good music. This is one of those records you have to go really deep to find. It's so good you'll hesitate to share it without getting something amazing in return. It doesn't aim to please, it's not showy, it's not pretentious, but most importantly, it's not about sex or Maybachs - so of course you generally wouldn't expect to hear it on MTV or BET.

This is one of those tracks that center your mind and takes you to a place where everything is exactly as it should be. It's blissful in ways words can't describe, with intrinsic sounds so unique, crisp and lush that you'll probably check your headphones and speakers to see if they are plugged in properly. Bury your ears in this when you need to get away from all the madness going on in the world and just be.

Released on the 19th of April, just over two weeks ago, Italian band, Amycanbe's "White Slide" EP has received the highest praises from the world's top music critics and most discerning fans. The release saw to it that the band was featured in the UK's highest ranked and most trusted music industry magazine, Music Week prior to its official release and the band has enjoyed widespread popularity, press coverage and radio airplay over the past few months in anticipation of it. For many unsuspecting fans, this is the record that seduced them down the blissful path of no-return that is Italian band, Amycanbe's discography. Ahead of the release of their forthcoming EP, "White Slide (Live)", we are taking a musical journey back in time to this sensational track which was first featured on their 2011 album, "Mountain Whales" - a highly praised 11 track record that set the tone for the illustrious career they've enjoyed and continue to enjoy today as one of the top emerging, internationally recognised bands in Italy. As the title suggests, the track delves into unsolved mysteries and unanswered questions - some simple, and some complex. Instrumentally, it will lead you into a colourful, fantasy world of your own where everything is possible and only the truth prevails. It's mellow and inviting, soothing, relaxing and has a very pure air about it that makes it excruciatingly exciting and will give you butterflies. When it comes to the vocals, it's one of those songs words just can't describe. Hungry, happy, sleepy - sound familiar?

 
What a full length album should look like in 2019

Pure, pensive and so relaxing all the way through

In an era when every music fan has over 50 million songs in their pockets it's hard to impress with a humble 5 or even 10 track album even if it's packed with back-to-back hits.

Amycanbe's SRL album is mildly sedative, utterly satisfying, refreshing, mesmerising and it will make you feel like you would if got on a spaceship to the future and changed your mind because the ride was so good. Anyone who still thinks ignorance is bliss in 2018 must not have discovered that amazing website on the internet called Google.

No, it's not bliss anymore because now humans can find out almost anything in the world except the very subject of this record. You'd have to work really hard to be ignorant nowadays. Sadly, Google can't help you remember who you are, fundamentally, so if you find yourself in that very situation then you've indeed found bliss and this is your anthem - use it wisely.

So good, all you can say is "mwah!".

If you are a connoisseur of good music then really really good music has probably been heavy on your mind for a very long time now and you have probably run out of patience and given up trying to navigate the 50 million plus song catalogs most music services are offering these days hoping to discover just one good album. This album is available on Spotify and Tidal, Amazon mp3, and also on CD, so whichever is your preference - really high quality or just average, you'll have no problem enjoying it to the fullest once you've gotten an idea of how good it is and you are ready to take it all in.

If you are one of those music fans that has become so used to throw-away music that you just toss anything in your music player and hit the play button, don't - your heart may just explode from all the emotions flooding in at the same time without prior notice or preparation.
