It has been hailed by many as the song that put San Francisco trio The Bilinda Butchers on the map and paved the way for what is arguably one of the most exciting and most illustrious independent dream pop music careers California has ever experienced, and the buzz surrounding “The Lovers’ Suicide” is still going strong over 7 years after its release back in 2013. This is one of those songs that will reach deep inside you and resurrect your inner child with superpowers. It’s dreamy and colourful with a very Japanese, Manga feel. It’s happy, it’s sad, sweet, dark, empty, full and everything in-between. 3 minutes later or maybe even less depending on how easily excitable you are, you’d probably have experienced every single emotion you’ve ever felt your entire life. A vacation without leaving

This is what Heaven must sound like

When the Bilinda Butchers made their debut back in 2011 with the release of their breakthrough album, "Regret, Love, Guilt, Dreams", they were hailed as one of the most promising new San Francisco, US bands of all time, and not only have they lived up to the expectations of fans and critics, they've left any and everyone who has been inevitably following closely completely blown away beyond their wildest dreams every step of the way. Their sound, a virtuosic mix of infectious, intoxicating sounds, mind-boggling guitar riffs, skillfully drowned out vocals and old school grooves was unique at the time and still remains so up till this day. With a variety of rock influences, they take their name from My Bloody Valentine guitarist, Bilinda Butcher. No other band has ever offered and probably will ever offer what they bring to the table. Their lyrics tell stories so compelling, and paint pictures so vivid even Stevie Wonder could see. They instantly catapulted to superstardom in South East Asia and are still one of the top independent international bands ever to play in the region, where they tour annually. "Boyfriend" was featured on their debut album. The video for the track was released only recently, several years later and has taken the track to new highs. It's a calming, refreshing blend of light, colorful, exquisite, lush tones and blissful harmonies infused with so much love you'll feel like you are floating away. If you like music that makes you feel something deep inside, then this will absolutely blow your sock off.

Can't live with them, can't live without them

Relationships are difficult - everyone knows that, but don't worry, here's a song that makes it all worthwhile. Throw this on whenever you've screwed up - whether you know what you did or you haven't got a clue, and watch as your troubles float away.

"Girlfriend" is the latest single by critically acclaimed San Francisco, US dream pop trio, The Bilinda Butchers. Much like every single one of their records it has received widespread praise and continues to do so several months after its release early last year and will probably continue to do so for the foreseeable future, not just in Japan and South East Asia where they have toured several times and have achieved near rock star status, but in the US as well where they are one of the only successful emerging bands of their kind. They may not release records every few months like other bands but every one of their records is a classic and doesn't just meet the needs and expectations of fans and even critics but defies them by a great deal as well. Their debut album, "Regret, Love, Guilt, Dreams" which was released back in 2011 is still selling like hot cakes on Vinyl and mp3, and every record that came after has followed suit, including this track, which is proving to be a real crowd-pleaser and secured them a tour of Asia and a Fred Perry sponsorship shortly after its release.
