It immediately sets a seriously exciting tone for the whole record, and as the song progresses, it unravels into something more spectacular than you could have ever wished for in even your most overzealous pop fantasies. Released on the 5th of June, “Halfway Fell” is the brand new single by Los Angeles singer songwriter, Christie Huff, who is being looked upon as the West Coast’s next big international country music star. The single not only verifies that she deserves the hype and status but is also evidence that even at the peak of her illustrious independent music career she is still able to grow and surpass the expectations of fans, critics and music industry insiders. "Halfway Fell" offers a very mellow vibe and a very unobtrusive feel overall. It's one of those songs that would have played all the way through before you know it and will have you rewinding over and over trying to figure out why you love it so much and can't stop. The lyrics are themed around a previous relationship and a “no hard feelings” attitude towards it. This track is so good, a completely blank review would have sufficed. Sometimes compliments are best left unsaid especially when something is effortlessly good, knows it's amazing and doesn't need an ego boost. This is one of those records you just put your feet up and put everything else down for. It's got that feel you only get when you listen to tracks like Bob Marley's "Jammin", but without the reggae and reafer. Released on the 25th of September, it's the latest offensive in Los Angeles singer songwriter, Christie Huff's quest for country pop domination. If she keeps this up, she'll have Taylor Swift running for cover by Christmas.

Slow means slow

Right in the middle of her Summer 2019 tour, Christie Huff blew fans away with a song they'd never heard before and weren't expecting. "Slow", the new track was officially released a couple of weeks later on the 26th of July. It's her first single since going Platinum on Spotify with the release of "Black And White" back in March and it seems to be following suit. It has received nothing but high praises so far and much like its predecessor it is receiving the favour of Spotify's curators and is already on a good number of official Spotify playlists - a factor that seems to have played a big part in "Black And White" getting streamed over a million times in just over 3 months. Well, that and the fact that Christie's unique style, unmistakable voice, deeply touching sound, and progressive development has seen to it that anyone who has ever listened has become a loyal follower, not to mention the fact that she has gigged and toured independently more than any other emerging country artist in California for over 5 years. "Slow" is another big record sound-wise. It seems like each song she has released since "The Way You Move", which marked a huge turning point in her sound back in 2017, has gotten louder almost exponentially. Her songs have also gotten more "pop-ier" along the line, but in a good way. "Slow" seems like a total game changer and sounds like it could be "the one". Every great artist gets to a point in their career where it seems like all the pieces are in place and everything sounds exactly as it should. That's exactly what this new record sounds and feels like.

It's complicated

A mildly somber but very relatable track centered around the sometimes inevitable ups and downs of relationships. Los Angeles country girl, Christie Huff has shown immense progressive development as an artist almost exponentially over the past couple of years and it just keeps getting better and better. Boasting exquisite songwriting and performance, this immaculate song marks yet another all time high for the fast-rising country pop sensation.
