"Above The Noise"
Reggae
Jaw dropper!
Reggae is a genre of music that holds a special place in every single one of our hearts, whether we know it or not. It’s one of those genres with that uncanny ability to make a listener instantaneously drop everything they are doing and just sprawl. In the words of the great Bob Marley, “when it hits you, you feel no pain” - no one really knows if Bob was talking about music, or if he had in fact just discovered a brand new strain of really strong Marijuana, but it rings true for reggae music every single time. Pop is amazing and rock is too, but nothing numbs pain and will make you float away to a happy place far far away like a reggae song. “Above The Noise” is the brand new album by independent reggae sensation, Honorebel. Originally from Jamaica, he is based in Miami, USA, and his sound is a fusion of the sounds of both regions – a smooth, infectious blend of the bright, exotic, liberating sounds that have all the makings of a party starter. He’s made tracks with some of the world’s greatest artists so there’s no doubt everyone had really high expectations for this album, which was over 3 years in the making; and he defied every single one of them and still has critics lost for words since its release on the 8th of November. The 16 track star-studded album features Rick Ross, Shabba Ranks and a host of other top international urban music artists, and includes the hit singles "Sauce Boss", which was released a few months back, "Your Love", "Lots Of Love" and "Own The Night". If you’ve been looking for an album that turns any given day into a Sunday, then you are in for a treat. Sure, it’s packed with party records and yes, it's perfect for getting the party started on a Saturday night too, but it’s also got that extra bit of “aaah” – that blissful sigh of relief you only get on a Sunday morning. Enjoy!
