"The Rockstar Business"
Pop
An exciting record about the music business
Sitting in position number 4 of London's critially acclaimed and one of the UK's favorite new pop acts, Saachi's 2019 album, "This is a Dinosaur", is an exciting track about what it feels like for an artist and entertainer in today's music industry. It has become quite rare nowadays to hear pop songs with important subject matters that not only boggle the minds of many but also shape every single one of our lives in some way or the other, so it's always refreshing to hear songs like this. Yes, we all love partying hard, liquor, molly, tats, fat racks, low riders, Ferraris, big booties, Versace, Versace, Versace, and all that good stuff, but we also need songs for when all those good times innevitably come to an end and we have to go to work for a few hours, or as the case is for many nowadays - one too many hours. The track is centered around, well, the business that makes music happen - obviously, that notorious subject matter that artists and bands have to battle to strike a balance with throughout their careers and would probably blow to shreds at the slightest opportunity if it wasn't so crucial for success or the possibility of a career at all. It has brought us legends like Michael Jackson, Prince, Elvis, Bob Marley, Tupac, NWA, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Celine Dion, Etta James, New Edition, Beyonce, Jay Z and literally any and everyone who brings your ears joy and motivates you to go on through your mobile devices and music players on a day to day basis. So here's to the music business, to Sony, to Universal, Warner, Indie labels of course, Spotify, Soundcloud, iTunes, YouTube and all the big and small players in the industry for all the sounds they've brought us over the years and will continue to do so for years to come.
