Hailing from Winston-Salem in North Carolina, USA, Yung Rackz is one of those hip hop artists that still manages to have fans banging their heads against the wall trying to grasp the goodness of his records. His dark, true to life lyrical content and ever so laid-back and masterful vocal delivery complements his exquisitely crafted soul-friendly, heart-stopping beats which paint darker and even more vivid pictures of the struggles of inner city life than artists like Guru did back in the day. His latest mixtape, "Call it a Trap Tape" which was released late last year is still the talk of almost every self-respecting US underground hip hop fan, and blogs, DJs, radio stations and critics are still raving on about it. This is Rackz' first official release of 2019, and it's huge. Kicking off super dark with a really melancholic, mafioso piano melody, it quickly blossoms into what could only be described as a potent, quick burning zoot that conjures up a more deeply calculated and sinister feelings and thoughts than the grassy knoll - to cut a long story short for those who are a little slow in deciphering hip hop metaphors - you'll be ready to "murder some presidents" (i.e. get some cash). It doesn't matter what you were doing before you hit the play button, you'll instantly switch into business mode and mean business. It's one of those types of tracks that inspires focus and determination in just the right amounts to get you in the mood for another win (or another shot at winning, whatever the case may be)
Explicit.
