There are two types of people in the world today – those that hate Christmas and those that absolutely love it. The truth is every adult has the tendencies and all the pieces in place that will land them in the first category even if just for a little while, and kids will more often than not end up in the second. It could be just before the holiday season, during or after, but whatever the case may be, this song is more often than not guaranteed to be the one that brings all those innermost feelings about the season out in the open, maybe not for everyone else to see but at least for you to see. It’s the song that tells you that no matter how much you dread it, Christmas is here and there’s nothing you can do about it - the song that tells every adult, “eerr eerr emm, get your wallets out already will ya, it’s that time of the year again”, and the song that tells kids it’s time to go and sit on strange fat man's laps again, while also hoping he doesn’t have his cell phone in his pocket this time.
