Six9
"So Much Pain"
Hip Hop
Pensive
Another hot single from US underground hip hop star, Six9's latest mixtape, "Dirt Road Dreams" which still has the whole of the South East holding their heads as the rest of the US braces itself for what many are calling the most exciting hip hop careers since 50 Cent and G-Unit. If you are not one of those hip hop fans that likes to dabble in hype but rather is more interested in artists and repertoires with a great deal of substance, then this record will make your day. It's a simple yet ever so hard hitting track that brings hip hop back to its storytelling roots, taking listeners back in time to the makings of the underground hip hop legend Six9 has become today and the international super star he's about to become. Far from Notorious B.I.G's "Juicy", but slightly bordering along the same lines in terms of its general theme, "So Much Pain" is more about the struggle than anything else. It's more of a record you bury you ears in when you're going in than when you are emerging triumphant. Add this right at the beginning of your "hard in the paint" playlists or whatever playlist you throw on when you are thinking of a master plan.
Explicit.
