"Golden Age Thinking" is the brand new album by critically acclaimed rapidly emerging Washington, DC band, Wylder. It was released on the 12th of July and is being hailed as one of the most exciting folk albums this decade, taking into account both indie and mainstream releases. First announced only a few months back when it was still in production, the album quickly became one of the most highly anticipated independent releases this year and has not only lived up to the expectations of fans and even the most discerning music critics, but has grossly surpassed them as well. The band's new single, "The Lake" which was released on the 21st of June, shortly after they returned from their summer tour gave fans a taste of what was coming, but it's now safe to say nothing could have prepared anyone in the world for this album. It's one of those albums that makes you take a deep breath, sit up straight and go "hmmm", with one eye slightly squinted like a puzzled professor who just discovered something that was there all along. It offers a sound so familiar and so good it'll make you wonder how it's possible you've never heard anything like it. If you like sweet melodies and bright, colorful, summery sounds consider this your birthday pinyata. It's so exciting and uplifting it will make you want to grab a little kid by the shoulders and just shake them for being so damn cute. With 11 tracks, all carefully crafted and performed to the highest standards and apparently only one goal - to make you feel amazing, this album will do things to you that will have you tingling all over. Also features the 2019 singles "Ready To Break" and "Ghosts".
