The Controversy
"Queen of Chinatown"
Alternative
Will mesmerise you and whisk you away to the nearest bar when you need it the most.
Slow and enchanting, very easy on the ear.
Evokes that crucial moment when you realise you've just had that one too many, and you're not sorry.
Ahead of the release of their highly anticipated upcoming album, we are taking time out to celebrate one of The Controversy's most played records, "Queen of Chinatown". The Los Angeles trio shot to independent music superstardom back in 2011 and there has yet to be anyone like them till this day. This is the type of music you hear playing in your head when you are about to really let go on a good night out - everything's moving really slow, everyone's looking really sexy, the drinks seem to be flowing too slowly but in reality you're just drinking too fast, the music sounds so far away yet you feel it so deep within, the beat is soft yet it's pumping life into your soul as adrenaline rushes through your veins in all the right places, it seems like the track just never ends verse after verse.
It sounds artificial yet so organic at the same time.
One of those tracks that always makes it into very last slot of every weekend music playlist.
Please remember to always drink responsibly.
