Perfect for when you are smoking and thinking, with your mind on your money and your money on your mind. Wiz Kid has been showcasing his exceptional skills as a producer recently and has delivered some pretty amazing beats, but nothing could have prepared anyone for this record. An exhilarating track that makes its own rules every bar of the way, “Talk Riches” offers a very introspective beat and a deliciously pensive feel. The vocal delivery is seriously good - every bar is spot on. In fact, anyone who has watched Wiz evolve progressively over the past couple of years would confidently tell you he has reached a peak and is about to break some serious ground. The overall production really stands out in a spectacular way. On the surface, it may seem pretty basic in terms of instrumentation, but listen a little closer and you’ll notice how every single sound is so meticulously tweaked and positioned that you could hear a pin drop in the mild and warm yet crystal clear backdrop. As the title suggests, it’s about money, but what makes this different from the plethora of hip hop records out there about money is the masterfully tasteful way in which it was written.
